CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORMATION
Many times in the community, young men who have been incarcerated with non violent
felonies have a difficult time getting employment. These men have paid their debt to society. Many want to do what is right and be an asset. They have families. But many times, they return to crime because they have lost hope. How can this be good for our state? This is unacceptable. Big John believes if a person has paid for his crime, their rights must be restored...All rights. Their records cleared.
On the fiscal side of this matter, the state of Tennessee pays a hefty price for our prisons; they are full. This tells me our justice system is not working correctly. Wouldn't taxpayer money be better spent helping people assimilate back into society and become taxpayers? Big John wants to see All people successful.
